‘If you fall for Teenage Fanclub, you fall hard.’ – The Quietus

‘What other band can boast three gifted songwriters... whose individual voices remain distinct yet still combine so irresistibly? Thanks to their sonic democracy, the beloved Scots rockers have, over the course of nearly four decades, evolved from anarchic scuzz-grunge longhairs into elder statesmen of earnest power-pop.’ – The Guardian, Nov 2018 ★★★★

They’re one of the most iconic Scottish acts of all time: ‘What You Do To Me’ rockers Teenage Fanclub are coming to New Zealand this February!

Kick off 2019 with a bang and grab your tickets to pop’s finest purveyors before they head our way.

Joining Teenage Fanclub at their one New Zealand date in Auckland will be The Roulettes, who describe themselves as survivors from “‘90s alcohol-fuelled Dunedin rock and roll bands”. Justin McLean, Ben Grant and Mark Queenin’s latest album is Venus Burns: eight songs of straight up simplicity, no middle 8s, no long songs. Previous EPs You Want It and Unread Books have been playlisted on stations such as The Rock to bFM.

Formed in 1989, Teenage Fanclub are a rare thing: a group who have grown old with their audience, reflecting their changing lives and shifting concerns. When Teenage Fanclub’s crowd looked at the band in 1991, they saw people just like them: boozy, boisterous and rambunctious. When they look at the band now, they still see themselves in them: they’re

like the old best friends you see a couple of times a year, and come away from each meeting with your affections revived.
