Band Of Horses

Band Of Horses

The group last visited New Zealand in 2010 for a sold-out Auckland show at The Powerstation following the release of their Grammy nominated Infinite Arms album.

BAND OF HORSES release their fourth album Mirage Rock this week and are another act with a large reputation here. Their beautifully bruised take on classic American rock, characterized on two previous visits by incredible musicianship and Ben Bridwell’s keening, Neil Young-like vocals, has earned Band of Horses a legion of loyal NZ fans.

Mirage Rock sees the group team with legendary producer Glyn Johns for the first time, developing new directions for their much-loved brand of harmony soaked Americana.

Since Ben Bridwell formed Band of Horses in 2004, they have become a much-loved live band and songs like ‘Laredo’, ‘The Funeral’ and ‘Is There A Ghost’ have gained classic status.

Their impressive musicianship and Bridwell’s voice, with its echoes of early Neil Young, have earned them legions of fans and invitations to tour from Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon.
