Stiff Little Fingers

  • Thursday 20 February 2014

Formed in 1977, Belfast Ireland. Along with the likes of The Clash, Sex Pistols, The Jam, Buzzcocks, Undertones, Sham 69, Stranglers, et al - Stiff Little Fingers were at the forefront of the punk movement. They wrote about their personal lives, growing up at the height of Nothern Irelands troubles giving context to songs like "Suspect Device" and "Wasted Life".

This style quickly became SLF's signature; lyrics that meld personal and political music that combines the energy of punk with infectious hooks, and delivery that rings of honesty and commitment.

Using the bands rich musical foundation as a building block, the time has come to bring the newest chapter of the band's music to the world. Plans are to record and release new material in late 2013/ early 2014.

For the first time since playing sold out shows in 2008, ODR & Punk Rock Road Trips welcome Stiff Little Fingers back to New Zealand and remind us why SLF still play some of the greatest punk rock shows around!
