Flo Rida

Flo Rida, one of the most successful rappers America has produced, is heading to Auckland to play a headline all-ages show at The Powerstation this September.

Riding high on the release of his sophomore album, the RIANZ Top 13 success R.O.O.T.S. (Route Of Overcoming The Struggle), Flo Rida brings his electric live show to the Powerstation for one night only.

Born Tramar Dillard, 29-year-old Flo Rida was raised in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Miami — Carol City. After many years struggling for recognition in the underground scene, in 2007 Flo Rida was signed by Poe Boy Entertainment, and in 2008 through a deal with Atlantic Records his debut release broke Flo Rida out of the club scene and into the national spotlight.

It was the debut album Mail On Sunday which brought the deserved reward of success. It features the double Platinum, Grammy nominated, number one hit ‘Low’ (featuring T-Pain), plus tracks ‘Elevator’ (featuring Timbaland) and ‘In The Ayre’ (featuring Will.I.Am.)

Already Flo Rida’s recent offering R.O.O.T.S. has brought further recognition and success. Sampling Dead Or Alive’s classic ‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)’, the lead single ‘Right Round’ (featuring Ke$ha) earned the number one spot Stateside and peaked at No. 2 locally.
